Vince Staples wants to join the ‘Fast and Furious’ cast

Compton rapper Vince Staples seems eager to step foot into Hollywood as he begs The Rock to join the cast of Fast & Furious. The movie franchise, which has been ongoing since 2001, is a popular choice for those who love a high-speed chase, and from his tweets, it’s clear that Staples is a fan of the franchise.

Taking to Twitter, Staples sent out a desperate plea to The Rock, begging to be cast as the character Tyrese’s son. The tweet read, “Somebody tell The Rock to put me in Fast & Furious as Tyrese’s son from Barstow.”

The rapper, knowing that the franchise is about to come to an is aware that this final movie will be his last chance to be part of the franchise. Fast & Furious: Fast X is set to be released next year and will be the final film of the 22-year-old series.

The rapper already has a decent-sized filmography and acting experience, so it is no surprise he believes he can fill the role. The rapper has starred in several films and television shows, including the likes of, Dope (2015) and the comedy-drama Insecure (2020).

It is unclear whether or not The Rock has seen the rapper’s plea. However, one thing that fans already know is that Staples will soon be appearing on Netflix. Earlier this year, the rapper announced he was working on a new scripted comedy series for Netflix. Based in Long Beach, California, the hometown of Snoop Dogg, with regard to the project, Staples stated, “This has been something I have been developing for some time, and I am happy it’s coming to fruition.”
