Usher and Justin Bieber engage in “heated exchange” at Jay-Z and Beyoncé party
Usher and Justin Bieber were reportedly involved in an incident at an Oscars after-party last weekend.
At an event hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé on March 15th, the two singers allegedly had a “heated exchange” after the 98th Academy Awards in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
A source told TMZ that Bieber came to the party with “energy and anger,” which turned into an altercation between him and Usher.
Sources close to Bieber claim the clash was “intense”, but no physical contact was made. However, the publication was also told by some people that there was a fist fight.
They were also informed that Bieber has been trying to erase people from his past and that he’s always been rude to Usher.
Guests at the party included Michael B Jordan, Teyana Taylor, Timothée Chalamet, Taylor Swift, Ryan Coogler, Kylie Jenner, Vin Diesel, Austin Butler, Jacob Elordi, Megan Fox, Emma Stone, Kendall Jenner, and many others.
Bieber and Usher have known each other for years, collaborating on songs such as ‘Somebody to Love’, ‘First Dance’, and ‘The Christmas Song’. They were last seen together in 2022 at Coeur d’Alene Lake in Idaho.
During an interview with The Breakfast Club in 2024, Usher revealed that Bieber turned down the opportunity to join him at his Super Bowl halftime show.
“We’re going to do something else in the future, but no love lost or anything like that,” he said. “I think that it’s a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, obviously, for me to put together a show, so I reached out to everybody,” Usher said at the time.”
He added, “Justin wasn’t the only person I actually spoke to about doing the Super Bowl, but the moment was maybe for later.”
