Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs “was jealous” of Michael B Jordan’s relationship with Cassie, court hears
During the trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in New York on May 19th for sex trafficking and racketeering, the court was told he “was jealous” of Michael B Jordan’s relationship with Cassie Ventura.
Last week, during the cross-examination of Ventura on May 15th, she told the court that Combs believed she was having a relationship with Jordan in 2015. Ventura also said that during this time, she became “angry” upon seeing a photo of Combs with another woman.
On May 19th, Ventura’s former friend Kerry Morgan gave evidence during the trial. Significantly, she alleged to have seen Combs beat Ventura on two separate occasions and claimed he could be “very aggressive” due to mood swings.
She also said Combs “choked her” which left “finger marks” on her throat and a concussion. Morgan told the court: “I was dizzy, I vomited a few times. I went to an urgent care facility. I hired a lawyer about the assault. I was planning on filing a lawsuit, but I did not.”
Morgan claims to have been paid $30,000 as a settlement following the attack, which she said Ventura arranged. This was also when her friendship with Ventura ended, who she claimed was “not supportive”.
Later on, during her testimony, Morgan alleged Ventura of being jealous of Combs’ relationship with his ex Kim Porter and he was jealous of her relationship with Creed star Michael B Jordan.
While Morgan doesn’t know whether Jordan and Ventura were romantically involved, she told the court, “What I remember was that she was speaking to Michael B Jordan and they hung out together and [Combs] was jealous of it.”
Combs is charged with five counts of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
The trial is set to continue on May 20th.
