US Vice President JD Vance picks side in Nicki Minaj and Cardi B feud
JD Vance, the current vice president of the United States, has weighed in on his favourite rapper between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
Nicki and Cardi have had their issues for a while, with the pair engaging in various back-and-forths as recently as this year.
On December 10th, Vance took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal he was on Nicki’s side when it comes to her and Cardi’s feud.
Seemingly unprovoked, he wrote “Nicki > Cardi” to his 4.9 million followers. His comment came in response to a since-deleted post from Nicki, who wrote, “Vance > Rants.”
His support of Nicki comes as no surprise. In recent months, the Queens rapper has publicly backed President Donald Trump, working with the White House to spotlight allegations of Christian persecution in Nigeria.
Last month, she delivered a speech at the United Nations in New York on behalf of the Trump administration.
In September, Nicki and Cardi fired shots at each other on social media, which involved Nicki calling her daughter “ugly” and Cardi claiming she was molested by her father.
Cardi has been critical of Trump throughout her career, calling him out for his decisions over the running of the United States.
“We all knew Trump was a hustler,” she said last year. “And I’m a hustler too. But hustling women out of their rights to their body is nasty work. Hustling Americans out of their hard-earned money by selling Trump watches, Trump sneakers and Trump Bibles is nasty too.”
She continued, “Today, it’s your wallet. Tomorrow, he’ll be conning you out of your healthcare rights. Donald Trump talks about how he has ‘a concept of a plan,’ but, America, the only concept of a plan he has is a plan to hustle you. He’s selling more than watches and sneakers. He’s selling us bigotry, misogyny, division, chaos, and confusion.”
