Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has eleven lawsuits levelled at him, accusing the music mogul of sexual misconduct. In one of the most recent lawsuits filed, it is alleged that the Bad Boy Founder sexually assaulted an unnamed 16-year-old at a White Party in 1998.
Furthermore, the lawsuit has a photo of the plaintiff, named John Doe, alongside the Cîroc tycoon. The filing claims that other celebrities witnessed the alleged sexual assault. Part of the lawsuit reads, “There existed something sinister – a dark underbelly of crime, sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, bribery and prostitution. Combs is a menace to society, women and children.”
Tony Buzbee, the lawyer that filed the most recent lawsuits against Combs describes the John Doe in the document as a young male living in New York City in 1998 who allegedly received an invitation to Combs’ White Party under the assumption that attending could help him break into the music industry.
The filing alleges that the plaintiff never expected to meet Combs as he was only 16 and was in such awe that they took a photo, which is included in the lawsuit. The case adds, “Combs took an interest in John Doe and wanted to talk to him. They walked to a more private area near the portable restrooms brought in for the party.”
The unnamed male, who is simply referred to as John Doe in the lawsuit, was a fan of the Bad Boy founder and allegedly told Combs about his dreams of becoming a music star. It is claimed that the Press Play creator told the 16-year-old he “had potential and ‘the look.'” However, it was also alleged, “When John Doe admitted his voice was not great, Combs assured him that did not matter. [Then] Combs abruptly told John Doe that he needed to drop his pants.”
The filing continued, “Combs made himself clear. He instructed John Doe to drop his pants and expose his penis so that Combs could inspect it, explaining it was a rite of passage and the route to becoming a star, and also as a way to prove himself.”
The recollection of events filed by Buzbee asserts that upon being asked, Doe didn’t know what to do and claims that this was due to “fear, anxiety and the imbalanced power dynamic” between the two.
The lawsuit also has overlapping allegations about some of the oils allegedly used by Combs and claims that “Combs [was] dousing victims in lotions or similar body oils… laced with GBH, so that the drug would be absorbed through the victim’s skin and make it easier to assault him or her”.
Combs is set to face trial in May, 2025, over criminal charges relating to sex trafficking and racketeering. He plans to plead not guilty and denies all accusations of wrongdoing.
