Tyler, the Creator unveils ‘Side Street’ teaser video

Tyler, the Creator has continued to tease his comeback and poured lighter fluid on the rumours of his return by sharing a video titled ‘Side Street’ on his social media platforms.

The ‘Side Street’ clip follows a mysterious billboard that popped up in Los Angeles last week. The billboard in the Californian city reads: “Call me if you get lost” and also lists a phone number beneath for people to call. There is also a website that has been set up which has the number visible. If you call the digits, you’ll hear an automated voice recording and an instrumental track.

The clip is an exchange of Tyler and his mother, who is doting about the love she holds for her son. “I’ll stand in front of a bullet, on God, over this one… I walked up on teachers, principals, mommas, kids, I don’t give a fuck. Am I lying?” Tyler’s mother seems to ask in the clip, to which the rapper responds, “You have no reason to.”

Los Angeles based Reddit users have attempted – and failed – to upload the audio from the track onto the platform. When they try, they receive a DMCA takedown notice which says they don’t have permission to upload ‘Momma Talk’ by Tyler, the Creator.

Some fans even went further by using the ‘inspect element’ on Google Chrome, which includes code for a redirect to ‘Redirect to Album Info Page.’

Now, he’s continued to tease fans by sharing two new clips that see Tyler kissing a woman before entering a pink car and driving off. Then Odd Future’s Taco Bennett arrives and appears to be the woman’s partner. He asks, “Baby, who was that?”

The videos are identical, apart from the fact that Tyler drives off in a different direction in each clip. At the end of both clips, a card emerges which reads, ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’.
