Tyler, the Creator teases new album with mysterious billboards

It appears as though Tyler, the Creator, has started the campaign for his next album after eagle-eyed fans clocked a new billboard pop up in Los Angeles.

The billboard in the Californian city reads: “Call me if you get lost” and also lists a phone number beneath for people to call. There is also a website that’s been set up which has the number on it. If you call the digits, you’ll hear an automated voice recording and an instrumental track.

It’s unclear who precisely is speaking on the voice recording. However, fans of the Odd Future rapper have suggested that it’s an exchange of Tyler and his mother, who is doting about the love she holds for her son. When Tyler won a Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album’, his mother joined him on stage to collect the award and created an emotional moment.

“I’ll stand in front of a bullet, on God, over this one… I walked up on teachers, principals, mommas, kids, I don’t give a fuck. Am I lying?” Tyler’s mother seems to ask in the clip, to which the rapper responds, “You have no reason to.”

Tyler is set to play festivals next summer, suggesting that new music is on the horizon. The rapper was recently announced to appear at Barcelona’s Primavera Festival alongside The Strokes, Tame Impala and Lorde, plus many more. The rapper is also playing Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza in 2021.
