Ty Dolla $ign and Sexyy Red to join Owen Wilson in ‘Rolling Loud’ film

Ty Dolla $ign, Sexyy Red and Ski Mask the Slump God have joined the cast of the upcoming Rolling Loud movie, which will star Owen Wilson. The hip-hop comedy film is shooting in Atlanta and will be released in 2026.

Three-time Emmy-winning actor Henry Winkler, known for his roles in Happy Days and Barry, will also star in the movie. A bio for the 79-year-old claims he is “working on a rap album that is expected to drop in 2029.”

Variety reported the news on March 4th ahead of Sexyy Red and Ski Mask the Slump God performing at Rolling Loud California, which will take place on March 15th and 16th at Hollywood Park in Inglewood.

A synopsis for the movie reads, “Inspired by a true story, Rolling Loud follows an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes a bold parenting decision when he sneaks his 13-year-old son into the world’s largest Hip Hop music festival, setting off a chaotic adventure with his reckless co-worker (Matt Rife) and an eccentric festival volunteer as they navigate wild crowds, security, and their own family dynamics.”

For the film, Wilson joined Travis Scott on stage at Rolling Loud Miami for a surprise performance in December. The Houston rapper headlined the festival and welcomed the actor onto the stage towards the show’s end to perform ‘FE!N’.

He joined Scott for not one but five performances of the song from his Utopia album. As the rain poured down, Wilson shouted, “I’m feining for more!” while raging on stage. “Feining” is a slang term for “fiending,” meaning an intense craving.

Rolling Loud will be directed by Jeremy Garelick, known for The Wedding Ringer, The Binge and most recently, Murder Mystery 2. Matt Rife will star opposite Wilson.
