Ty Dolla $ign reveals ‘Vultures 3’ with Kanye West is “on the way”
Ty Dolla $ign has confirmed that his Vultures 3 album with Kanye West is still in the works. The duo released Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 in February 2024 and August 2024, respectively, while the final part of the trilogy has yet to be released.
The Los Angeles singer was recently asked about his relationship with Kanye at Paris Fashion Week, and he revealed that their third album together was coming soon. He also mentioned Ye’s next solo album, Bully, as well as his own album, Tycoon.
“That’s my brother right there, man,” he said during a conversation. “Vultures 3 on the way, Bully on the way and my new album Tycoon on the way. Let’s go!”
Vultures 1 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 units in its first week, while Vultures 2 only reached number two with 107,000 units. When the albums were first announced, Vultures 1 was set to arrive on February 9th, followed by Vultures 2 on March 8th and Vultures 3 on April 5th, but the pair struggled to stick to the original dates.
In August, journalist and podcaster Touré revealed some details about Kanye’s new album. “Kanye is now living in Tokyo and living in a hotel hard at work on his next album Bully,” he said in an Instagram video. “He’s recording the album in the hotel room. Like, all the machines are set up in the hotel room. It’s a concept album, and he plans to be the only producer on it.”
He continued, “Traditionally, Kanye is the product of a team, there are producers helping him, there are writers helping him, he comes with the big ideas but there’s others in. Not this time. This time, Kanye is gonna make this pretty much by himself. A fresh chapter in his life because in Tokyo he can be who he wants to be.”
Ye’s last solo album, Donda, was released in 2021, while Ty has gone five years without dropping his own album. Featuring Ty Dolla Sign was released in October 2020 and featured Kanye on the song ‘Ego Death’ alongside FKA Twigs and Skrillex.
