Ty Dolla $ign condemns hate speech following Kanye West’s antisemitic rant

Kanye West went on a highly publicised antisemitic rant on X (formerly known as Twitter) last week. Ty Dolla $ign, who has released two albums with Ye, took to social media to share his thoughts on his collaborator’s hateful views.

While he didn’t mention Kanye specifically, Ty headed to his Instagram Stories to write, “I do not condone ANY form of hate speech towards ANYBODY.” In his posts last week, Kanye voiced his love for Adolf Hitler and called himself a Nazi, stating he says “what the fuck” he wants.

The G.O.O.D. Music boss called himself “racist” and refused to apologise for all of his hateful comments towards Jewish people. He also used ableist language to describe those who don’t support his viewpoints.

“IM RACIST STEREO TYPES EXIST FOR A REASON AND THEY ALL BE TRUE,” he wrote. “I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE FUCK ANTI SEMETIC MEANS ITS JUST SOME BULLSHIT JEWISH PEOPLE MADE UP TO PROTECT THEIR BULLSHIT WAS THAT THE WRITE THERE. YOU N*GGAS SLOW. FUCKING R*TARDS.”

He continued, “IM NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANNA SAY FOREVER WHERES MY FUCKING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS SUCK MY DICK HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY.”

Ty dropped two joint albums with Kanye last year. The first, Vultures 1, was released in February and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 units sold in its first week. The second album, Vultures 2, arrived in August and fell short of the top spot, opening at number two on the chart.

In January, Ty revealed that Vultures 3 was also in the works, as well as solo albums from him and Ye. “That’s my brother right there, man,” he said about Kanye. “Vultures 3 on the way, Bully on the way and my new album Tycoon on the way. Let’s go!”

It’s unclear whether Ty will continue working with Ye after his outburst, having reportedly removed “¥$,” the name of their group, from his Instagram bio. However, the pair were aligned in 2023 at a time when Kanye’s antisemitic views were well-known.
