Tupac Shakur’s brother calls out Drake over purchasing chain

Drake recently acquired a chain that allegedly belonged to Tupac Shakur. The late rapper’s brother, Mopreme, has now blasted the Toronto rapper for owning the jewellery.

Drizzy purchased the Death Row Records chain, but Mopreme believes he shouldn’t have it in his possession for a couple of reasons.

For one, he thinks the Shakur family should own his items, but Drake’s comments about UK rappers being superior to Americans are also part of it.

“My man need to think more about his moves,” he told The Latest. “Because I just saw… in London, talking about, ‘London got the best rappers. London rappers are better than American rappers.’ So why are you so seeking after the king of rap’s jewels… literal jewels?”

Shakur continued: “If England has the best rappers, why are you doing this? So I don’t know. I think the family should have all of Pac’s things, personally. But things don’t always work out that way. My personal opinion, that’s what I feel.”

He is referencing comments that Drake made London’s Wireless Festival over the summer, when he said, “The best lyricists in the world, mark my words, I don’t care what nobody says. Nobody can out-rap London. Nobody. No disrespect to America. No disrespect to my country. But nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best, this is the highest level. This is what I aspire to be.”

Mopreme’s comments arrive shortly after incarcerated Death Row co-founder Suge Knight claimed the chain was fake.

“Well, I’m quite sure it’s not true,” he said. “When I came up with the idea to make the Death Row chain—one, it had never been done before. Two, it was like wearing a, you know, it was like having your flag, your rag. You can’t tuck it, it means something.”

He added, “That’s not Tupac’s chain. It’s not a Death Row chain. Whoever sold you that chain, Drake, you need to go beat his motherfucking ass. Crazy.”
