Tupac Shakur’s ‘All Eyez on Me’ album inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame

All Eyez on Me by Tupac Shakur has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

The Recording Academy announced the decision on February 10th alongside many other albums and songs, honouring music that “exhibit qualitative or historical significance and are at least 25 years old.”

2Pac’s fourth studio album, All Eyez on Me, was released on Death Row Records in 1996, serving as the final album of his lifetime.

Arriving seven months before his death, the project includes classic songs such as ‘California Love’ and ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted’.

The album featured an all-star guest list, including Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Method Man, Redman, E-40, and others.

It reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 566,000 copies in its first week.

As well as Tupac, Eric B and Rakim’s ‘Paid in Full‘, Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, and Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain were among the other titles to be recognised.

In a statement, Recording Academy CEO, Harvey Mason, Jr, said, “It’s a privilege to recognise these influential recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall Of Fame inductees. Each selection reflects the creativity, craft, and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades.”

He continued, “We’re honoured to help preserve these works and celebrate the artists and communities behind them, so their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”
