Travis Scott announces first festival appearance since Astroworld

Travis Scott has announced that he will be returning to festival stages this year for the first time since the Astroworld tragedy in 2021.

Back in November last year, the rapper came under fire after ten people died and countless more were injured during his headline set at Astroworld after the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, but Scott carried on his performance.

He has since performed at after-parties and private events, but the recent announcement that he will be headlining three Primavera Sound concerts in South America is the first time that he has been slated for a return to festival stages.

Scott will begin his return in São Paulo, Brazil on November 6th, before performing a second date in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 12th, and finally wrapping up the Primavera run in Santiago, Chile on November 13th.

He will be joined on the South American run of Primavera by the likes of Lorde, Björk, Arctic Monkeys, Charlie XCX, MC Dricka, Helado Negro and more.

This announcement continues his increasing presence within the music scene following last week’s recorded return featuring on the Future and Southside track ‘Hold That Heat’.
