Hundreds of Astroworld lawsuits combined into one case against Travis Scott

Hundreds of lawsuits relating to the Astroworld tragedy against Travis Scott and Live Nation have been combined into one case.

Attorneys brought the motion forward to a Texas court panel where they asked to combine over 380 separate lawsuits. In total, these cases represent almost 2,800 of the alleged victims, and now it has been revealed that one judge will oversee the entire pre-trial proceedings.

Billboard state that this will allow a single judge to simplify the trial by streamlining it and making it less complex. Additionally, this could also make it easier for a possible single settlement to be achieved, which would decide every case.

Both sides agreed this was the right step, and the attorneys said, “This type of litigation is exactly what the Texas MDL process is designed to address.”

Meanwhile, the FBI recently launched a campaign to gather evidence about the Astroworld tragedy.

In a statement, the Houston Police Department said, “Houston Police Detectives have already viewed countless hours of video evidence as part of our ongoing investigation into the Astroworld event.

“To ensure that we have captured all evidence for a complete investigation, we have partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for additional technical assistance. The FBI has created a website where the public can upload any photos of video taken at the concert venue.”
