Drake affiliate Top5 stabbed in London following Wireless Festival

Toronto rapper Top5 was reportedly stabbed in London on June 14th following Wireless Festival. The 26-year-old (real name Hassan Ali) was in the UK watching Drake headline the festival for a third night in Finsbury Park over the weekend.

The rapper was stabbed in the leg in North London. Video footage showed a group of people surrounding the white Mercedes he was in, with people climbing on top and stamping on the windscreen.

In the clip, people are shown kicking the car and the person inside while people record the incident. The Mercedes then made a getaway with the boot open.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the attack in a statement to The Mirror, revealing they were called to reports of a stabbing in Springpark Drive at around 12:15am.

“The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg,” a spokesperson said. “He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”

Before the incident, Top5 posted videos of himself watching Drake’s Wireless Festival set from the VIP section. During his trip overseas, he said in another video, “There’s no killers in the UK. There’s like serious guys, they’re not gonna come kill us. ‘Cause see, people show your address here. In America…”

Last year, Top5 was cleared of murder charges stemming from a fatal 2021 shooting in North York. After the verdict, he thanked Drake for paying his legal fees. “Shoutout big bro @champagnepapi for the Lawyer Fees & Gary Grill for being the best lawyer in Toronto #ALLAHUAKBAR,” he wrote on social media.

Top5 has over 328,000 followers on Instagram, and his last two posts include photos of himself alongside Kanye West and Drake. His biggest song on Spotify, ‘Drill Some More’, has 4.7 million streams.
