The sneaky housekeeper who stole weed from 2 Chainz

Atlanta legend 2 Chainz is a certified hitmaker and has released a slew of anthems. From ‘It’s A Vibe’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhené Aiko to No Lie featuring Drake, the lyricist has profoundly impacted hip-hop. However, last year, the emcee (real name Tauheed Epps) unveiled that one of his housekeepers had stolen a vital creative tool from him.

In June 2023, Epps took to Instagram to admit that, on his watch, a housekeeper sneakily stole his weed and brazenly helped him search for it while on vacation. According to the ‘Beez In The Trap’ artist, the theft occurred while he and his wife were out eating dinner.

On his social media, the Georgia native explained to his followers how he had left the weed in his room. Still, when he returned to his freshly cleaned hotel room, the pack was missing.

Detailing the story, Epps recalled, “We took a boat to another island to get off and eat some dinner. I had a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on my door; it was gone. The housekeeper was in here cleaning up.”

He continued, “Them folks took da pack and helped me look for it like a real Soufside N*gga.” Epps insisted that he wasn’t too annoyed as he had more but was stating, “I ain’t trippin’, I respect it. Got dang, I had backup.”

Although the housekeepers had stolen something they found, Epps couldn’t be too mad as he also told his fans in an interview with 9MagTV that he once swiped his late father’s stash of hidden cash.

Opening up about how he found the bag of rolled-up dollar bills, Epps unveiled that it was the result of a broken water pipe, explaining, “Quick story. I had a busted pipe in the basement. They fixed my basement, and then they found — I guess it’s my pop’s old stash.” You can hear Epps speaking about his stolen weed in the video below.
