SZA addresses Nicki Minaj beef: “I don’t know her”

Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj targeted SZA in various social media posts, making comments about her voice and appearance. Now, the TDE singer has addressed the beef.

Nicki initially called out TDE president Terrence ‘Punch’ Henderson in her July posts on X (formerly Twitter). However, she then brought SZA into her issues.

During a recent interview with GQ, SZA claimed she has no ties to Nicki and was confused about the whole thing.

“I don’t know her,” she said. “We have no connection to each other. There’s no backstory. Like, there was no through line narrative. It was just like, ‘Roc Nation’… I don’t know where it came from. That’s not even my place to correct a narrative that I don’t got shit to do with. It was a little strange. It was very like, ‘Why?’ But also, you know, ‘I guess.’ ”

In her many posts about SZA, Nicki dissed her over her alleged fake freckles and questioned her level of success in comparison to her.

“Go draw your freckles back on bookie,” she wrote. “Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a fkng dead dog. Bitch looking & sounding like she got stung by a fucking bee. dot dot dot *Draws on my fake freckles*.”

She continued, “Wait. Does Sza think she’s more successful than me? Lol yall catch me up pls. Sza if every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you.”

The two artists have collaborated in the past, with SZA contributing as a writer to ‘Feeling Myself’ with Beyoncé, which appeared on Nicki’s The Pinkprint album, released in 2014.
