Suspect in Sayso P murder case found dead in Houston building
In late March, it was announced that Tennessee emcee Sayso P had been murdered in a fatal shooting that also injured rapper Sauce Walka in Memphis. Until recently, police were looking for the suspect and trying to find the killer. However, TMZ recently reported that the primary suspect has been found dead in Houston.
The Memphis police department confirmed that the main suspect, 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge, was found dead in an abandoned Houston building with several gunshots in his body. The shooting happened one day after law enforcement announced that he was the main focus of their investigation. Still, his death was not a suicide, and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science has confirmed his death as a homicide.
Although the main suspect is now deceased, the Memphis Police Department has announced that they have a second suspect in their investigation, 22-year-old Kevin Brown, for whom they have an arrest warrant.
The second suspect will be detained if found and charged with first-degree murder. Furthermore, he will be charged with attempted first-degree murder and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and property theft.
While it may be hard to find someone willing to speak, the Memphis PD is currently urging anyone with information that leads to Brown’s arrest to call 901-528-CASH. They are also offering a monetary award of $6,000 for the individual who helped secure the arrest.
The murder of Sayso P and the attack on Sauce Walka took place on March 22nd when the two MCs were targeted by gunmen outside a hotel near Memphis’ FedEx Forum. Although Sayso P was killed instantly, Walka managed to survive, leaving the scene with only a non-critical leg wound.
On March 25th, Sauce Walka took to social media to express his emotions and pay tribute to Sayso P, writing, “Words or tears can’t explain the loss I feel! Splatt I wish your fat ahh listened to me and stayed in the room. I told u we could smoke that blunt after security and the rest of our familia pull up.. SOSAMAN TOLD U F .. dat weed wait til we leave an hit superior first.”
He continued, “You always so hardheaded blood, but u kno ima ride wit u regardless we come together, we leave together. Wish u just went DR wit shimmy and shot off and skipped this trip to Memphis, but u was to excited I finally agreed to come to da M.”
Kevin Brown has yet to be arrested by the authorities.
