Suge Knight’s son fires back at Eminem’s ‘Smack You’ diss track

An unreleased Eminem song, ‘Smack You,’ leaked in January. In it, the Detroit rapper took shots at Suge Knight. Allegedly dating back to the mid-2000s, the track saw Em blame Knight for Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls’ deaths.

He raps on the song, “I’m holding Suge responsible for the deaths of the two greatest rappers to ever grace the face of this planet/ If only the late, great Mr. Christopher Wallace could talk/ He could tell you himself/ I’m holding Suge responsible for the death of Ja Rule or anyone else down with Tha Row.”

The Death Row co-founder’s son, Suge J. Knight, has now responded to Em on ‘Ocean Krwi’, a collaborative track with Polish group Elita Kaliska, calling out “internet gangsters” who “dry snitch.” In a statement alongside the track, he questioned Em’s song being leaked while his father is in prison.

“Eminem claims that the song was created in the mid-2000s. It’s strange that it’s being released now, when my father has no chance to defend himself,” he said, according to NME. “It’s also strange that he had many opportunities to tell him all this to his face, but didn’t have the courage.

“An honourable man doesn’t kick the defenceless, so I decided to defend my father’s honour and record my response as part of a song that happened to be about this topic. If Em claims that this song is from two decades ago and declared in it that he will reveal the alleged truth about my father’s connection to the attack on ‘Pac, then where is his truth? Maybe he will finally have the courage to confess it?”

He then addressed his response track and suggested Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs knows something about Tupac’s death.

“However, in the song, I mainly discuss the topic of online hate from anonymous people and the rumours that my father killed 2Pac,” he said. “They were best friends, and although many bad things can be said about my father, he cannot be blamed for ‘Pac’s death.”

He added, “The world will soon learn a lot about this attack – I’m sure Diddy knows a lot about it, and I could even present evidence in this case, but I’ve already talked about ‘Pac once I said it and that’s where I’ll end it. I want to live.”
