Stockton rappers accused of possessing gun used to shoot rival
Two rappers from Stockton, California, have been accused of having a gun that was used to shoot at a rival.
EBK Jaaybo and Baby Maxx (real names Jaymani Gorman and Xavier Jones) were hit with seven charges in Little Rock, Arkansas.
According to The Mercury News, the rappers, aged 22 and 19, possessed a loaded Glock pistol that was found during a traffic stop in May 2025.
The indictment was filed in June 2025, but was only unsealed three months ago, with the two artists currently detained.
The gun was found to have been involved in the shooting of another rapper, DreamllifeRizzy (real name Jarico Anderson), in Oakland, two months before being seized. The incident is still under investigation.
The San Francisco artist is said to have feuded with both of the Stockton rappers, with California Highway Patrol officers reportedly carrying out a warrant to take DNA from both Jaaybo and Maxx.
Rizzy is allegedly a member of a gang called Double Rock and released a song called ‘EBK Killer’ months after the shooting took place.
News of Jaaybo’s arrest surfaced last year, revealing he was charged with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, criminal use of a prohibited weapon, and theft by receiving and narcotics possession.
Jaaybo was reportedly a passenger when police found marijuana, unidentified pills, $8,379 in cash, and a gun that was reported stolen from California.
Judge Jo Volpe said he would “be exposed to not less than 30 years in prison, and that would have to be imposed consecutively,” if convicted on both the marijuana count and possession of a machine gun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
