Snoop Dogg names the celebrities he’d love to smoke a blunt with

Snoop Dogg is a renowned weed smoker who has built an empire on his love of marijuana. Not only has he released his own weed strains and put out his own premium rolling papers, but he has also smoked with some of the world’s most well-known celebrities. The Long Beach legend has some fantastic stories to tell, but there are still many people on his list with whom he wants to smoke.

The Death Row owner recently released an album executively produced by his mentor and longtime friend, Dr. Dre. During a conversation about the project, the two MCs were asked which celebrities (dead or alive) would make up their dream blunt rotation.

Tha Doggfather creator chose some surprising and some expected names, unveiling, “I really want to smoke with and do a record with Sade,” adding, “I think we would have a nice time smoking and then going right into a session that Dr. Dre produced.” In addition to Sade, Snoop named Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali.

When asked if he would have liked to have smoked a blunt with Michael Jackson, Snoop gleefully admitted that he already had. After being asked who was in his dream blunt rotation, Dr. Dre produced some more surprising names, giving an all-musician rotation of Kurt Cobain, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, and George Clinton.

Missionary, Snoop Dogg’s latest album, is the first time he and Dr Dre have worked exclusively together since the release of 1993’s iconic Doggystyle project. However, Dre admitted that he has yet to be inspired by anybody in the culture and detailed how he believes that the standard of hip-hop albums is currently very low.

Asking the Complex journalist about their opinion on the scene, Dre asked, “Do you remember the last person or last album that you heard that you were inspired by?” “Well, if you’re talking about new shit, I would say Good Kid, m.A.A.d City and To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar were the last hip-hop albums that inspired me.” Still, Dre was an executive producer on both projects.

One gift that Missionary has given fans is a track featuring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent. This is the first time the four of them have joined forces strangely. The song, entitled ‘Gunz N Smoke,’ pays homage to the late Brooklyn emcee Biggie Smalls. The four MCs, despite being longtime friends and collaborators, have never previously all featured on the same song. However, they have worked together in different combinations over the last 25 years.
