Snoop Dogg launches animated children's series 'Doggyland'

The ever-expanding brand of Snoop Dogg has just moved into the world of children’s TV. He’s just launched a brand new animated children’s show called Doggyland – Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes.

The show is available to watch on YouTube and YouTube Kids, and in it, Snoop partners with the Emmy-nominated creator of the franchise Hip Hop Harry, the soul singer October London. Doggyland follows a cast of dogs that teach children up to the age of eight about social and emotional skills through singing and dancing.

In a statement, Snoop Dogg explained: “As a father, grandfather and longtime youth football coach, it’s always been important to me to build positive and educational environments for all children. We wanted to bring our show to YouTube and YouTube Kids which provides free access to everyone, so all the kids can enjoy it.”

“I’ve always wanted to create a kid friendly series that lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the culture with everything from the music to the characters,” he continued.

“When I started to build my team, it was only right to partner with Claude, who created the iconic series, Hip Hop Harry, which built the blueprint to diverse kids programming, and October London, a talented singer and writer.”

Four episodes of Doggyland were released when the show was launched, and now, an episode will drop every Tuesday.

It’s been a busy period for Snoop Dogg. Just last week, he announced his own line of breakfast cereal ‘Snoop Loopz’. A gluten-free cereal, it sells itself on “more corn, more flavour, and more marshmallows”, and hopes to become a world leader in the gluten-free market.

“The best tasting cereal in the game,” Master P wrote after announcing the brand on Instagram, “[Snoop Dogg], we’re taking over grocery stores”.
