Sheff G claims prison officers are abusing him

Sheff G turned himself in last month to spend the next five years in prison. However, not long after his incarceration, the Brooklyn rapper claims prison officers are abusing him.

The drill artist accepted a plea deal in March, which saw him plead guilty to two counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of second-degree conspiracy.

He’s currently behind bars at the Marcy Correctional Facility in Marcy, New York, but he feels he’s being mistreated.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on November 19th, Sheff begged for help after alleging that officers took his belongings and left him handcuffed outside in the cold.

“Marcy Correctional Facility is holding me and kicking me out general population and putting me in the handicap dorm,” he wrote. “It’s against my rights and they threatening me about being a rapper. They took all my shit, cuffed me for 2 hours outside in the cold with no reason and no explanation. I NEED HELP RESPECTFULLY.”

Sheff was accused of being a leading member of two gangs, whose alleged crimes included shootings, gun possession, and using stolen cars to shoot at rivals.

Speaking on Sheff’s situation, District Attorney Gonzalez said, “This defendant had talent and opportunity, but chose to use them to fuel violence instead of building a better future. Together with the NYPD, we have driven gun violence in Brooklyn to record lows by focusing on dangerous individuals, like Mr Williams and his cohorts.”

He added, “I can only hope that this measure of accountability will lead him to taking a different path and using his influence in a positive manner.”

Sheff released his last album, Proud of Myself, in November 2024 via RCA Records, with features from Polo G, Lil Tecca, Sleepy Hallow, YNW BSlime, and others.
