Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ team claims they’re unable to reach rapper in New Jersey prison
Lawyers representing Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs have claimed that they can’t get in contact with the rapper.
Combs is currently behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to AllHipHop, his legal team has asked US District Judge J Paul Oetken for more time to file an amended answer and counterclaims against music producer Lil Rod, who sued Combs in 2024.
His attorney, Erica A Wolff, said, “As the Court is aware, Mr Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix. The undersigned Counsel for Mr Combs has been unable to communicate with Mr Combs at FCI Fort Dix in advance of the approaching deadline to file his amended answer and counterclaims.”
Rod accused Combs of groping, sexual harassment, forcing him to solicit sex workers, and attempting to groom him into sexual encounters with other men.
Denying his allegations, Wolff previously said, “Mr Jones’ lawsuit is pure fiction – a shameless attempt to create media hype and extract a quick settlement. There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked.”
She added, “We look forward to proving – in a court of law – that all of Mr Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.”
Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in February 2028 after being sentenced in October last year.
Speaking on prison life, Combs said, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
