Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs team responds to claims he hospitalised Jamie Foxx
Various alleged eye-witnesses who attended a taping of Jamie Foxx’s new Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, claim that Foxx addresses rumours that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs put him in hospital. Now, it has been reported that Combs’ legal team have issued a response to some of Foxx’s comments.
Foxx was hospitalised in April, 2023 and stayed out of the public eye for a number of months. There was a great deal of speculation surrounding the reason why Foxx ended up in the hospital for such an elongated period.
The comedian allegedly addressed the incident in his new Netflix special. A number of eyewitnesses, including videographer and producer Choke No Joke, claim that Foxx said Diddy “did something” to him and subsequently Foxx called the FBI on him, which is unfounded. Furthermore, it must be understood that it was part of a comedy routine, which isn’t likely to be factual.
Big Homie CC, a celebrity bodyguard, also said previously that Foxx called the FBI on Combs. “I know [Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it,” he said when speaking to Cam Capone News, “Jamie Foxx reported this man to the FBI because of this.”
These are only allegations and should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially since many eyewitnesses to these comments saw them during the taping of a comedy special. That being said, Combs’ team has responded to the allegations.
Diddy’s legal team allegedly emphasised in an email to AllHipHop that the allegations surrounding Jamie Foxx are untrue. They go as far as to call the allegations “outlandish, ridiculous, and baseless.” His team have also reported that Foxx’s team denied having any connection to these allegations.
This lines up with what other attendees of Foxx’s Netflix special report on seeing. One viewer, Dennis L.A. White, states that Foxx said, “People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not. If he was, I would’ve been dead.” White also says that Foxx repeatedly references Combs, but only as a joke. He also states that Foxx never mentions law enforcement directly when discussing Combs.
Given that Foxx was taping a comedy special, there was always a risk that some of the jokes could be taken out of context or misinterpreted by members of the audience. It could well be that that’s what has happened here; however, we won’t know for sure until the special is released and people can watch it for themselves.
There is no release date for Jamie Foxx’s What Had Happened Was as of yet, meaning these allegations remain purely speculative.
