Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs struggling to sell Beverly Hills mansion
Although Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is incarcerated, it would appear that he is currently trying to sell his Beverly Hills mansion. The mansion was one of many Diddy residences raided by Homeland Security in March earlier this year, and while he remains in the Metropolitan Detention Centre, it seems that there are no buyers willing to give the Bad Boy founder money for the property.
It has been reported that since Combs put the property on the market two months ago, “only a few” potential buyers have even walked its corridors, but they have had nobody willing to hand over money for a house linked to the disgraced producer.
It has been reported by TMZ that one couple who looked out the house, knowing it was Combs’ and aware of what had potentially taken place there, hated viewing it. In fact, one woman was “creeped out” and couldn’t wait to leave.
An unnamed source told the publication that something about the Combs’ allegations has stuck and caused the residence to have an “ick factor”. Furthermore, according to multiple unnamed realtors who have valued the property it isn’t worth $61.5 million which is the current asking price for the residence.
Due to all of the above, it has been noted that the real estate market hits a predictable lull in the lead-up to the holiday season and for a while after so if anybody purchases the house this month it will be highly unusual.
That said, someone did recently purchase a house connected to the Menendez murder. However, that was in 1989 so it may take 35 years for Combs’ property to get rid of the “ick factor” it currently has as the scandal and pyschodrama around the musician isn’t just fresh, its ongoing.
However, it is undoubtable that Combs has bigger fish to fry right now, but we may be see a significant price reduction in the future. The house on the market has got fans speculating whether or not the Ciroc businessman is in need of funds and many are claiming it may be to fund his attorneys.
Irrespective of this it’s evident he is struggling in the Metropolitan Detention Centre and the federal jail which is currently part of an “interagency sweep” is definitely not as cosy or opulent as the Beverly Hills mansion he is used to.
Combs is set to face trial in May, 2025, over charges of sex traficking and raketeering, he denies all wrongdoing and will plead not guilty.
