Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sent to solitary confinement after fight in New Jersey prison
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has been sent to solitary confinement following a prison fight.
The Bad Boy rapper is currently serving a 50-month sentence behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
According to TMZ, Combs was involved in an altercation that resulted in him being sent to prison isolation.
The report claims that things got heated after an inmate dissed him, prompting a physical reaction.
Combs and the other inmate allegedly engaged in a scuffle that saw punches being thrown. Sources told the publication that the rapper “held his own” before prison guards separated them.
In a statement, a representative for FCI Fort Dix said, “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain.”
The Federal Bureau of Prisons added, “The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not comment on the conditions of confinement, disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”
Combs is set for release in February 2028 after several changes to the date. He was sentenced in October 2025 after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
The 56-year-old has spoken positively about prison life in the past, saying, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
