Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs praises “talented” daughters from behind bars
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has praised his two daughters for starting a new streetwear brand.
Twin sisters Jessie James and D’Lila Star, who are 19 years old, launched their new unisex brand called 12TWINTY1 on July 7th.
Following the launch, Combs shared a statement with TMZ from behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey while serving his prostitution sentence.
“I’m incredibly proud of Jessie and D’Lila,” he said. “They’ve worked hard to build something that’s authentically theirs, and watching them turn an idea into a real business has been inspiring.”
He continued, “This is about two talented young women with a vision, a strong work ethic, and the courage to put their creativity out into the world. I hope people judge 12TWINTY1 on the quality of what they’ve created, because they’ve earned that opportunity.”
Combs had Jessie and D’Lila with the late Kim Porter; their other sons are Christian and Quincy.
A memoir titled Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side was released in 2024. However, Jessie, D’Lila, Christian, and Quincy condemned the book.
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumours circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship. As well as about our mom’s tragic passing,” a statement read. “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed.”
They continued, “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace.”
