Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces growing “pile of evidence” amid new lawsuits
Further evidence has recently emerged that adds to the growing list of allegations against the hip hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The rapper remains in jail on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and other conspiracy to engage in prostitution.
The latest lawsuit alleges that a 13-year-old girl, trying to gain entry to the Video Music Awards, was picked up by a limo driver because she “fit what Diddy was looking for”. She later met the ‘Last Night’ rapper and claims she was given a date-rape drug, with Combs commenting, “You are ready to party.”
The alleged event occurred in September 2000, and it was submitted to New York federal court on October 20th. It is the latest in more than 20 cases that have been filed against Combs so far. The rapper is currently in federal custody in Brooklyn and legal experts have noted that he will have to face up to both criminal charges and a string of civil lawsuits.
“It’s not one woman who usually gets raked over the coals. It seems to be a pile of evidence,” New Jersey attorney Nancy Erika Smith stated. “There are many women who witnessed their own experiences and will testify about that, but they also witnessed the abuse of other women in the same parties or orgies.”
Many of these cases are being represented by the prosecutor Tony Buzbee who said he is acting as attorney for more than 120 men and women who have filed allegations against the rapper for “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings, sexual abuse of minors”.
Is Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in jail?
On an episode of the hit podcast The Trial Of Diddy, the founder of Wall Street Prison Consultants, Larry Levine, revealed some previously unknown information about how Combs is finding life on the inside. Levine divulged, “He’s not really on suicide watch, but my inside source there tells me that there is someone coming by to visit with him several times a day, you know, to make sure that he’s okay.”
Levine added: “He’s got somebody from the psychology department coming out to visit with him, so it’s like a game that they play with the inmates. Remember, he’s not playing chess. He’s in a cell by himself.” Combs has been in the MDC since he was arrested on September 16th, meaning he has spent the best part of two months in solitary confinement.
Nevertheless, it has also been stated by his own legal team that he has ”full confidence in the facts”. This story is ongoing and further developments are expected in the coming days.
