ScHoolboy Q laughs off Andrew Schulz as Kendrick Lamar feud continues
Comedian Andrew Schulz, who hosts the Flagrant podcast alongside Akaash Singh, has found himself at the forefront of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef recently as, strangely, he was called out of the Compton emcee on the track ‘Wacced Out Murals’.
In September, during an interview with the British podcasters ShxtsNGigs, Schulz made some comments about Black females that were deemed very offensive, and the comedian received a lot of backlash for his remarks.
During the episode, Schulz stated, “[Men who date Black women] shave their hair because they start losing it because they are so stressed being around that Black girl complaining about sh*t all the fu**ing time.” However, on his track, Lamar responded, “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law.”
Still, Schulz found this comment to be hypocritical and began taking shots at Lamar. During one of the Flagrant episodes recorded shortly after the song’s release, Schulz taunted K-Dot with sarcasm and indirectly asserted he won’t take lectures about respect for females from rappers who often speak about women in the most derogatory ways.
Stressing this with humour, Schulz facetiously told his co-hosts, “Listen, rappers are telling comedians we need to be more respectful to women. So we need to sit back and reflect…Listen, no one has respected women more through art than rappers. So I completely understand how a rapper could look at a comedian telling a joke and be like, ‘Yo, you need to switch that sh*t up. How dare y’all keep saying your wives are annoying. Be more like us, bitches ain’t nothing but hos and tricks, I beat my bitch with a stick.'”
That said, Schulz’s humour has not gone down well with many hip-hop MCs and fans. However, he has continued to speak rudely about Kendrick and, at one point, even went on a tirade about being able to sexually assault Lamar, laughing, “I would make love to him, and the only thing he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not. That’s the only thing he could do. If it’s me and Kendrick, it’s about physics. I don’t even know if I’ll get hard.”
Now, the West Coast legend that is ScHoolboy Q, who is also close friends with Kendrick Lamar, recently took aim at Andrew Schulz, and during an interview, when asked for his thoughts on Schulz, ScHoolBoy simply remarked, “He’s white,” before walking away from the camera.
ScHoolboy is far from the first person to criticize Schulz amid the feud. Matt Barnes, Meek Mill, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and more have called him out online. On the other hand, some have come to the comedian’s defence, including the infamous DJ Akademiks as well as Adam22 of No Jumper, among others
