Rolling Loud has apologised after festival-goers bottled Kid Cudi, which led him to storm off during his headline set.
Kanye West was originally due to top the bill at the festival, but he pulled out at the last minute. They previously said in a statement: “We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing.”
Despite filling in at short notice, Cudi was jeered by those in the audience and left for his own safety. Interestingly, despite Ye removing himself from the line-up, he was still there and made a cameo on-stage with Lil Durk.
After missiles began to swarm the stage, Cudi warned those in the audience that he was close to breaking point. He told fans: “If I get hit with one more fucking thing, if I see one more fucking thing on this fucking stage I’m leaving.” Shortly after he made this statement, he was hit once more.
In response, Rolling Loud damned the fan behaviour and said: “Rolling Loud is a family. Our fans, the artists, and everyone involved need to look out for each other. Share the love and be respectful to everyone. We love you, Cudi. Please take care of each other and let’s have an amazing day 2!”
