Roddy Ricch arrested before Governors Ball on gun charges

Roddy Ricch was forced to drop-out of Governors Ball after being arrested on gun charges.

The rapper has now been released after his case was dismissed, according to a clerk at Queens Criminal Court. Ricch was arrested along with two other people who were in the same vehicle on Saturday. He was initially said to be facing four charges: possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device and unlawful possession thereof, as well as criminal possession of a weapon.

However, the case has now been dropped, and the 23-year-old has been described by the outlet as being in ‘okay-ish spirits’ following the situation, according to TMZ.

His accomplice, Michael Figueroa, 46, was in an arraignment hearing on Sunday in the court. Meanwhile, the case against, Carlos Collins, 57, has also been dropped.

A source told the New York Post about the protocols: “The reason we do this checkpoints is for expressly this purpose. We don’t want people introducing guns in this venue.’

It wasn’t the only issue Governors Ball faced with their line-up over the weekend, with Friday headliners Migos pulling out of the festival at the last minute. Amid speculation surrounding their future, the rap trio were replaced on the bill by Lil Wayne.
