Pop superstar Rihanna has been confirmed to voice Smurfette in Paramount’s upcoming Smurfs movie.

The upcoming motion picture will be the first time Rihanna has appeared in a film since Donald Glover’s Guava Island, released in 2019. The announcement of the new Smurfs project was made at CinemaCon on April 27th, and the singer also made a surprise appearance to confirm her involvement in the movie.

In addition to voicing Smurfette, Rihanna will also be creating original music for the film. Currently, it’s unknown who else will be appearing alongside her in the film. Smurfs is slated for release on Valentine’s Day in 2025.
