Rico Nasty has surprised fans by dropping five new tracks on her Soundcloud page.
Last year, the rapper released her debut album, Nightmare Vacation, to a largely positive reception across the board, and she’s wasted little time in getting stuck into the next chapter. In August, Nasty shared the video for her latest single, ‘Magic’, which features on her anticipated upcoming mixtape Rx.
As of yet, the upcoming mixtape has no release date, but the wait shouldn’t be too much longer, especially considering the latest drop of songs.
Rico took to Instagram Rico to announce the release with an image of her face and the caption “secrets on Soundcloud”. The post linked to a playlist titled Rico’s Archives that featured five songs, ‘Switch Places’, ‘Grow Up’, ‘Cotton Candy’, ‘Show Me Your Love’, and ‘How Ya Feel’.
The new set of songs come just a matter of days after her rousing appearance on Tiny Desk sessions, which ended in furious style as she closed with her first hit, ‘Smack A Bitch’.
Before playing the song, she said: “If you would’ve told me it’d be as big as it is today, I would’ve laughed at you dead in your face.”
Things are heating up with Rico now, and it looks like her forthcoming mixtape will arrive imminently. Check out the new tracks below.
