Rick Ross announces release date for new album ‘Set in Stone’

Rick Ross has announced the release date for his new album.

The Miami rapper has gone five years without releasing a project, but that’s set to change this summer.

Rozay took to Instagram to reveal that his new album, Set in Stone, will be released on June 12th.

While sharing the cover art, he wrote in the caption, “JUNE 12TH MY NEW ALBUM ‘SET IN STONE’ WILL BE AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE!!! PRE ORDER NOW!!! LINK IN BIO.”

Ross previously announced the title of the album in April while sharing his thoughts going into the project.

“I challenged myself musically,” he told the Daily Mail during an interview. “That’s what the renaissance is about, it’s not getting to a point where you feel you at a ceiling.”

He went on to explain that he tried to outdo the rest of his catalogue up until this point. “Not only should I put out a dope album, it should be fucking challenging any body of work I ever released,” he said. “And so that’s what the challenge to myself was.”

He continued, “So a lot of the records that I put on it sonically and just the way I feel, you know, what the game needed as my contribution… I’m gonna be excited the day it’s released.”

Ross released his last album, Richer Than I Ever Been, in December 2021. It debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200 chart with features from Future, 21 Savage, Wiz Khalifa, Benny The Butcher, The-Dream, Wale, and more.

The five years between Richer Than I Ever Been and Set in Stone is the longest time Ross has gone without releasing an album in his career.
