Rick Ross announces new album ‘Set in Stone’
Rick Ross has announced details about his upcoming project.
The Miami rapper has revealed that his new album will be titled Set in Stone, serving as his first LP since 2021.
Rozay confirmed the title during an interview with the Daily Mail, where he teased the quality of his new music.
“I challenged myself musically,” he said. “That’s what the renaissance is about, it’s not getting to a point where you feel you at a ceiling.”
Despite announcing the album title, Ross didn’t provide a release date for the project. The 50-year-old also opened up about attempting to surpass every album he’s released in his career so far.
“Not only should I put out a dope album, it should be fucking challenging any body of work I ever released,” he explained. “And so that’s what the challenge to myself was.”
He continued, “So a lot of the records that I put on it sonically and just the way I feel, you know, what the game needed as my contribution… I’m gonna be excited the day it’s released.”
His last album, Richer Than I Ever Been, was released in December 2021. It debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it his first album to debut outside of the top 10.
The project featured many guests, including Future, 21 Savage, Wiz Khalifa, Benny The Butcher, The-Dream, Wale, DreamDoll, Blxst, and Jazmine Sullivan.
In the meantime, Rozay will release his new memoir, Renaissance of a Boss: Notes from a Creative Reawakening, on May 12th. It will be his third book, following Hurricanes: A Memoir and The Perfect Day to Boss Up: A Hustler’s Guide to Building Your Empire.
