Remy Ma says Doja Cat isn't a rapper

Remy Ma has explained in a new interview why she doesn’t believe Doja Cat is a rapper.

Ma made the statement when she appeared on the Drink Champs podcast when she spoke about Doja’s inclusion in the rap category at the Grammys. She disagreed with this inclusion, and Remy confessed that she didn’t believe Doja should be considered a rapper.

“I don’t think she’s a rapper. Let’s be clear with that,” Remy Ma explained to N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. “They put her in the rapper category, I don’t think she’s a rapper. But she makes dope records, and I think she’s dope.”

Meanwhile, Doja threatened to retire last week after her set was cancelled at the Asunciónico festival in Paraguay. High winds caused her to not fulfil her obligations, and fans then complained after she didn’t meet them outside of her hotel.

In response. she tweeted: “it’s gone and i don’t give a fuck anymore. i fuckin quit i can’t wait to fucking disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a fucking fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a fucking nightmare unfollow me.”

Additionally, Doja brought her set at Lollapalooza in Argentina after a worrying incident in the crowd. She asked the audience if “somebody needs help out there,” which led to a portion of the crowd pointing to the area where assistance was needed. Thankfully, everything was fine, and she resumed her set.
