Ray J hospitalised in Las Vegas with heart issues
Ray J has been taken to the hospital in Las Vegas after suffering from pneumonia and heart pains.
The 44-year-old singer (real name William Norwood) was admitted on the night of January 6th and received X-rays and an echocardiogram.
According to TMZ, Ray has yet to receive the results of his tests that were carried out in the hospital.
A video surfaced online showing Ray J speaking to a medical professional while lying in a hospital bed.
Ray was previously hospitalised with pneumonia in Miami in 2021, with reports saying the singer was worried he might die. He was put on oxygen and required to use an inhaler, but he recovered, and his breathing returned to normal.
His manager, David Weintraub, claimed he was “overworked” at the time, adding, “He’s in the hospital for pneumonia, but it’s not the contagious kind. [The doctors] wanted to keep him there a couple extra days to watch him.”
In a statement, Ray said, “I appreciate all the love and support from everybody. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers, and I will be back up and running soon.”
Last year, Ray J was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on his ex-wife during a live stream. He was detained on November 27th at around 4am in the Porter Ranch neighbourhood of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.
Princess Love accused him of pointing a gun at her and their daughter, before calling him a “woman abuser.”
He then threatened to “shoot the fuck” out of a man after being confronted, adding, “I’ll kill you. Get out of my house before I shoot you right now. I got a gun on me.”
