Ray J accused of using fake blood for attention at concert

A photographer has accused Ray J of using fake blood after sparking concern at a show last weekend.

The singer performed at “An Intimate Valentine’s Day Concert” in Shreveport, Louisiana, on February 14th, and was spotted with blood dripping from his eyes.

While many people put it down to his recent health issues, a photographer named Tommy Nard II, who worked at the event, claims the blood wasn’t real.

“He loves the camera,” Nard II told KTAL NBC 6. “He loves the attention. Anybody that knows him, it’s all theatrical. I’m behind the scenes, like, ‘What are you doing?'”

He added, “I seen him literally put on the fake blood and things like that, and go out there with the crowd, which is very shocking that he’d do something like that.”

Ray’s manager, Melinda Santiago, denied the accusation in a statement to People.

“The bottom line is Ray J has been in and out of the hospital dealing with health and heart issues,” she said. “That is a fact. Another fact is that the meds that Ray is on have some side effects.”

She continued, “It’s absurd that a local videographer (not our team) would want to clout chase for five min of fame off of Ray J name and play about Ray being sick is sick in itself. My job is to protect my artists backstage from opportunistic people. If we can’t do that, then I’ll be cutting off all backstage access moving forward.”

Ray was hospitalised in Las Vegas in January after suffering from pneumonia and heart pains. He later claimed his heart was only beating at 25% and that he would die in 2027 as a result of his health issues.
