Rapper is suspected driver in Wisconsin Parade tragedy that killed five people

Rapper Mathboi Fly is being held on suspicion of killing five people in the Wisconsin Parade tragedy.

His real name is Darrell Brooks Jr., and he has been named the suspected perpetrator by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The red SUV that ripped through the crowd is the exact vehicle that appeared in his music video, ‘Half A Tikket’, which has now been deleted from YouTube.

In place of the video, a statement reads, “This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.”

At around 4:40 pm on Sunday, a red SUV drove into the crowd. In the aftermath of the incident, The Waukesha Police Department confirmed five deaths and over 40 injuries, with Brooks in police custody since Sunday evening.

Devastatingly on Facebook, the group Milwaukee Dancing Grannies said they were “devastated by this terrible tragedy,” noting that, “Those who died were extremely passionate Grannies. Their eyes gleamed…..joy of being a Grannie. They were the glue….held us together.”

Earlier this month, Brooks was arrested on November 5th and charged after a domestic abuse incident. A woman claimed he followed her to a gas station before running her “over with his vehicle.” Just two days before the parade, he posted a $1,000 bond and was subsequently released from jail.
