Police searching for third suspect in rapper Chris King’s murder

Chris King was shot and killed last year at the age of 32. Now, police are searching for a third suspect in the rapper‘s murder.

The Fontana, California, born artist (real name Christopher Cheeks) was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 20th, 2024.

On December 8th, the Metro Nashville Police Department identified 32-year-old Trayvon Palmer as the final suspect in the shooting death.

According to The Tennessean, police say Palmer is based in the Los Angeles area and faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery, and gun offences. Officers are asking the public to assist them in locating his whereabouts.

The announcement comes following the arrest of 20-year-old Adrian Cameron Jr and 19-year-old Amir Carroll earlier this year.

Three men reportedly attempted to rob King in an alleyway outside of a recording studio and ended up shooting him. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and died of his injuries.

The incident took place near the Hayes and Church streets in the Midtown area, with the robbers making a getaway to the Hayes Street Hotel car park.

King was a close friend of Justin Bieber and Trippie Redd, who both paid tribute following the news of his death. Bieber wrote on Instagram, “Love you bro. This one hurts. Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother.”

Trippie added, “I am so hurt rn I can’t even think I love you bro come back!!!!! I can’t catch a break.”

The rapper currently has 111,000 monthly Spotify listeners. His biggest songs, ‘Back of My Mind’ and ‘Evil Kunevil’, are both Trippie collaborations with 17 million and nine million streams on the platform.
