Quavo and Offset appear to have made amends following death of Rich Homie Quan

Migos fans have been delighted to discover that the rift between Quavo and Offset might have finally been repaired after several years of conflict.

Quavo took to Instagram to post a Story which said “Good Convo With My Bro,” followed by a link emoji and praying hands emoji. He also tagged his former bandmate and attached the song ‘Nothing Changed’, which he performed with the late Migos member Takeoff.

The post came shortly after the announcement that the Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan had passed away. The 33-year-old rapper, who rose to prominence in the early 2010s and also featured in the hip-hop group Rich Gang, died on September 5th. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed, but many famous rappers have expressed their grief over his premature passing since the news broke.

The musician, real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, found chart success with various singles, such as ‘Type of Way’ and ‘Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)’. He also collaborated with Migos several times, such as on the 2014 single ‘In Too Deep’ with Young Thug, and ‘New Atlanta’, which also featured Jermaine Dupri.

Clearly, the death of Lamar has encouraged the pair to amend their friendship. They’ve known each other since they were kids, so fans are pleased to hear that they might be on better terms now.

This isn’t the first time Quavo and Offset have been rocked by tragedy. In 2022, Takeoff was shot and killed outside of a bowling alley. There was already significant tension between Quavo and Offset for various reasons, including creative differences and personal issues. For example, in 2022, Quavo seemed to allude to Offset sleeping with his ex-girlfriend.

The two surviving members of Migos reunited in 2023 to pay tribute to Takeoff, although they ensured that the hip-hop group was definitely no more.

Earlier this year, Offset opened up about his relationship with Quavo on the podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game. “We went through something. We don’t have to show you smiles on faces… so stop doing that. We aint on no sucker shit with each other. We both came in this shit together and we both knew that, we understood that, and we lost our brother. I still go through shit; I know bro go through shit, n****s love each other though at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it. Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that shit. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”

It seems as though they are no longer feuding, but whether they will release any new music together remains open to speculation.
