Pusha T and DJ Drama to release ‘Gangsta Grillz’ mixtape in 2023

Pusha T is set to join forces with DJ Drama for a new mixtape slated for 2023. The rapper confirmed the new offering during a recent interview with Rap Radar’s B Dot. It serves as the latest instalment of DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz series.

The new mixtape – expected to arrive in 2023 – is the follow-up to Pusha T’s fourth studio album, It’s Almost Dry, which arrived back in April. The new collaboration follows DJ Drama’s mixtape with Snoop Dogg, Gangsta Grillz: I Still Got This.

Pusha was supposed to hit the road for a UK and European tour in support of It’s Almost Dry, which would have taken place in December. However, the outing was postponed due to production issues.” As it stands, the dates are yet to be rescheduled.

Earlier in December, Pusha T was asked to discuss his rivalry with Drake, which made headlines back in 2018 when the pair lashed out at one another in a tennis match of diss tracks.

According to an interview with XXL, Pusha believes that Drake is still reeling from the conflict: “Every time I hear a subliminal in one of his songs, it just lets me know how deep it hurt him,” Pusha said, adding: “Because it’s been four years now. And we still talking about it. He is. I don’t. I’m cool. But every time it’s a subliminal, I’m like, Yes. It burns. It still burns. It lets me know. I love it.”

In that same interview, Pusha revealed he hasn’t spoken to his friend and collaborator Kanye West after expressing his disappointment towards the rapper’s flurry of hate speech. “I never had a filter with him,” Pusha said. “I’ve always spoke my mind. People gotta remember, too. This isn’t new for me, when it comes to disagreeing with him politically and things like that.”
