Popcaan teams up with Drake for 'We Caa Done'

Dancehall heavyweight Popcaan has returned with the new single ‘We Caa Done’, which features none other than Drake. Adding to the excitement surrounding the track is that the collaboration is also set to appear on Popcaan’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Great He Is

The song arrives with a Theo Skudra-directed video, shot on location in the sunny Turks and Caicos.

Great He Is follows 2020’s Fixtape, Popcaan’s celebrated fourth album that boasted the track ‘Twist & Turn’, featuring Drake and PartyNextDoor. Since then, the Jamaican musician has teamed up with Dre Skull and Mr Eazi for ‘Sekkle & Bop,’ and released a handful of solo songs, including ‘Skeleton Cartier’ and ‘Next to Me.’

Elsewhere, at the end of December, Drake wore a new necklace he had made from the diamonds of engagement rings he never got around to proposing with

The Canadian rapper commissioned high-end jewellery designer Alex Moss to make the piece titled ‘Previous Engagements’. Per Moss, the thick chain contains 42 diamonds (351.38 carats worth in total), and was created to symbolise “all the times he (Drake) thought about it but never did it”.

Moss posted a video to demonstrate their new work on Instagram, which included a voiceover that detailed the intricate design and creation of the necklace. It took 14 months for Moss to complete, with them saying: “every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection.”

Per Page Six Style, a diamond expert reportedly claimed that Moss’s necklace “looks to be worth approximately $12.5million.”

Drake is yet to comment on the chain and hasn’t revealed any of the intended recipients of the diamonds.
