Rapper POORSTACY’s cause of death revealed amid family dispute

Florida rapper POORSTACY died earlier this week. The cause of death was reportedly suicide, but his family have disputed it.

The 26-year-old lost his life on December 1st, with the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner confirming his death with the Boca Raton Police Department.

According to TMZ, multiple sources stated that POORSTACY shot himself in a hotel room in Boca Raton on November 29th.

The report claims he initially survived the gunshot but died in the hospital two days later after being taken off life support.

Despite the story, police have yet to confirm the cause of death. His family have denied that it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound and suspect foul play.

POORSTACY had reportedly been staying at the hotel for 10 days and initially checked in with a woman and a toddler. The rapper was allegedly the child’s father, and the woman was the mother.

Although he checked in with two other people, it’s unclear whether they were in the room at the time of his death. Police officers gave the hotel permission to thoroughly clean the hotel on the same day as the fatal incident occurred.

Without confirming, TMZ previously pointed out that comments on his Instagram page suggested he had committed suicide.

An emergency call also surfaced on December 3rd. In the audio, which is heavily redacted to remove all “investigative information,” a hotel employee can be heard contacting 911 before another person answers further questions.

POORSTACY released his last album, Party at the Cemetery, in October 2021. Known for his brand of emo and punk rap, his biggest song on Spotify, ‘Don’t Look at Me’, has over 51 million streams.
