Polo G arrested on gun charges near Los Angeles

‘Rapstar’ rhymer Polo G has been put in police custody after getting arrested for possession of a gun just outside of Los Angeles on October 19th. The emcee, who is synonymous with Chicago, has had troubles with the law before, and this is the latest in a string of offences.

The ‘Pop Out’ lyricist was booked and arrested by police after being pulled over in San Fernando during a traffic stop. The star was initially stopped for speeding. However, officers found a loaded gun in his vehicle, and, as a result, he was taken into custody for possession of a concealed weapon.

According to police records obtained by XXL, Polo was immediately taken to the Valley Jail in Van Nuys but was not offered bail. This is not the first time the Chicago artist has had a run-in with the law, and his multiple arrests have inevitably led to a slowdown in his career’s momentum since 2019.

In 2021, he was arrested in Miami for resisting arrest and assault of a police officer. However, that wasn’t the only time he was arrested that year. In September, he was arrested again in Los Angeles for carrying a concealed weapon.

Although the artist was previously involved in the gang wars of Chicago, since fame, he has moved from the Illinois city to California, but he still hasn’t escaped law enforcement and is still considered dangerous.

In August last year, his LA mansion was raided by police, and he was charged with possession of firearms after seven weapons were reportedly found in his home. Furthermore, shortly after the raid, he and his brother were also charged with robbery.

According to an LAPD police report obtained at the time, Polo G drew a handgun with an extended magazine and ordered an unnamed individual to empty their pockets and wire him a large sum of cash. The unknown victim is said to have had a working relationship with Polo G in the past.

Again, earlier this year, he was arrested for gun possession on the East Coast in New York City after a firearm was found in his room by a member of the cleaning staff at The Dominick Hotel in Manhattan.

Following the weapon coming to police attention Bartlett was arraigned and therefore didn’t have to appear in front of a Manhattan District Court. Following a night in jail, Bartlett secured cash bail for $25,000.

He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. Furthermore, Polo G released his latest album, Hood Poet, in August last year, which boasted features from exciting artists like Future, GloRilla and Offset.

Polo G is yet to comment on reports of his most recent arrest.
