Playboi Carti rumoured to postpone Antagonist tour again

Atlanta lyricist Playboi Carti has rumouredly postponed his Antagonist Tour again following a series of previous delays. The tour was intended to commence in mid-January. However, it appears it will be kicking off later than initially planned.

The dates, cities and venues were all listed on the tour section of the rapper’s website. However, they have now been listed as “To Be Determined (TBD).” Several outlets have reached out to Playboi Carti’s team, but there has been no response.

Playboi Carti’s team released dates showing he would first perform in Denver, Colorado, for his North American leg. Following this, in November, he would commence a European tour in Dublin. However, he has postponed the shows without offering new dates.

This tour follows a series of releases for the emcee (real name Jordan Carter), such as ‘2024,’ ‘Different Day,’ ‘H00dByAir,’ and ‘Backr00ms.’ His next album will follow December 2020’s Whole Lotta Red.

Following this recent tour delay, fans are speculating that the recent postponement of Playboi Carti’s tour is a result of the legal battle that Homixide Gang is involved in. The duo are Atlanta affiliates of Carti and were set to be one of the support acts. However, none of this has been confirmed by official sources.

The duo, who are signed to Carti’s Opium label, were involved in a backstage brawl with Louisiana emcee Summrs last year and are involved in a court case that could see their lyrics used against them, including a 2023 track.

Homixide gang are now in a dispute with Live Nation; the tour is now in limbo. Unfortunately, much of this speculation appears to come from Playboi Carti’s official fan Discord server.
