Orlando rapper Hotboii sentenced to six months in prison

Rapper Hotboii has been sentenced to six months behind bars for violating the terms of his probation.

The 25-year-old Orlando artist (real name Javarri Walker) was reportedly taken into custody at the Orange County Jail on May 19th.

According to XXL, a judge sentenced Hotboii during a court hearing over three violations from 2025.

His lawyer, Lyle Mazin, claims that they were able to cut the three charges down to one, and that he could be free in five months.

The probation stems from being hit with RICO and racketeering conspiracy charges in 2021. He spent two years in jail before the RICO charge was dismissed, and he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity.

Hotboii was released from jail in September 2024 and given five years of probation. However, in July 2025, he was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon and trespassing on school property.

He was accused of climbing a fence of school property, with security footage later showing him throwing a black Carhartt bag. Police then found a black Glock 45 9mm firearm inside the bag.

Speaking to Complex in 2020, Hotboii said that jail changed him for the better. “I ain’t going to lie, that jail shit changed me,” he said. “I’m glad I went to jail, though. I’m happy I went to jail. If I wouldn’t have went to jail then, I probably would be in jail right now.”

He continued, “I swear, that shit slowed me down. It showed me the value of life and the value of freedom.”

Less than two weeks ago, Hotboii released a collaboration with Lil Baby titled ‘Alicia’, which has nearly a million Spotify streams and over 1.3 million views on YouTube.
