Hotboii arrested for trespassing with gun on school property

Hotboii was arrested on July 9th for bringing a gun onto school property. The Florida rapper, who has collaborated with Future and Kodak Black, has been handcuffed several times in the past seven years.

City of Doral police officers received a call at around 3:40am about “suspicious males” in the car park of Doral International Academy of Math and Science.

According to TMZ, Hotboii climbed a fence on the school grounds, and security footage later showed him throwing a black Carhartt bag. Police found a black Glock 45 9mm firearm inside the bag.

The Orlando-born artist is currently on probation as a convicted felon, having previously spent three years behind bars on a RICO charge. His most recent arrest came in February.

As a result, the 25-year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon and trespassing on school property. He has since been released on a $2,500 bond.

Hotboii released his latest single, ‘Imma Be Fine,’ on Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records in June. His last album, Blinded by Death, arrived in 2023 and featured Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, and BIG30. Life of a Hotboii, released in 2021, also featured Kodak, Lil Tjay, 42 Dugg, and Future.

Speaking to Complex in 2020, Hotboii explained how jail changed him for the better. “I ain’t going to lie, that jail shit changed me,” he said. “I’m glad I went to jail, though. I’m happy I went to jail. If I wouldn’t have went to jail then, I probably would be in jail right now.”

He added, “I swear, that shit slowed me down. It showed me the value of life and the value of freedom.”
