OJ Simpson’s lawyer claims Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs made “stupid and arrogant” mistake

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs received his prison sentence last week and has been criticised by OJ Simpson’s lawyer. Alan Dershowitz called him “stupid and arrogant” over some of his actions.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison on his prostitution charges, but had already made plans for a public speaking engagement in another state.

Dershowitz described the move as a “slap in the face,” given the fact that he was sentenced to over four years behind bars.

“I can’t imagine anything more stupid than that,” he told Fox News. “How anybody permitted him to do that. It’s just a slap in the face to the judge. It’s outrageous. I can’t imagine any lawyer or any responsible person allowing. I would have quit the case.”

He continued, “If I had been Diddy’s lawyer and Diddy had said, ‘I’m gonna make an arrangement, and I’m going to make it public.’ I would’ve said, ‘Yeah, and you’re going to get a new lawyer. I’m not representing somebody who is so stupid and arrogant.'”

Dershowitz believes that by doing that, he said goodbye to his chance of freedom. “I mean, I’m not Dr Kevorkian,” he said. “I don’t believe in walking my clients into a death chamber. And that was a kiss of death.”

As part of his sentence, Combs was forced to pay a $500,000 fine. Speaking to his kids in the courtroom on October 3rd, he said, “I hate myself right now. I’ve been stripped down to nothing. I want to apologise to my seven children. I’m so sorry. You deserve better. To my mother, I feel you taught me better.”
